Listen to me!
In case you haven’t heard the news, the great Tom Racine from Tall Tale Features Radio and I sat down for a chat a few weeks back. The lovely Barb Jacobs (and her barking dog) joined in the fun. It was my first interview, and I’m terrified to listen to it. But you can – right here.
On another note, I realize that I haven’t been updating the comics. I’m saddened by this, but what can I say. I got a freelance gig that’s taking up almost all of my free time, and the company I’m working for just asked if I’d accept more work. So, I guess I’m going to have to go on a hiatus for awhile, much as I hate to do it. I’ll still be popping over to blog at TTF as long as they’ll have me. And I’m not closing the book on Charly altogether. I do plan to pick it up again at some point.
So, lemee just say thanks to everyone who was a fan. This isn’t goodbye, but rather, I’ll see you again.

j/k … well, I understand the need to take a hiatus. We’ll miss you for now, but I’ll be staying tuned in for that glorious day when Charly returns.

Hey Mike,
I’m always a bit wary of hiatuses because half the time the creator ends up scrapping the strip altogether instead of returning from the hiatus (it’s even happened within TTF, as you know). So while I completely understand the need to take a break, I advise you to return to “Charly & Co.” someday instead of scrapping it; your strip and its characters are too strong for you to do that.

when you get back, how about a reunion with all the coworkers? have them all get drunk and then do some type of zany mixup where someone wakes up wearing someone else’s underwear or something.
i miss those guys.
