So, what do you do when you’re stuck for material? Resort to bathroom humor, I always say.

Finally trying to get back to writing and drawing this on a regular basis again. This one looks pretty rough. My drawing hand is out of shape.

Well, I guess there goes my hope of ever seeing a Charly & Company feature film on the big screen.

Man, what I wouldn’t give for a robot body. Naturally, I’d go for something like this…

I always hated questions like this during interviews.

The idea for this one came about from a conversation I was having with a fellow tooner who was proud of the fact that he still did his cartoons “old school.”

Me, being the smart-ass that I’m famous for, asked what he used to ink his strips. The answer was Micron pens.

“Aha! Hypocrite! Those aren’t old school! Brushes and crow quill pens are old school!” I said as I strutted back to the break room, full of myself for having “won” the argument.

I think I now realize why I don’t have any friends.

I think fathers enjoy tormenting their sons. Or maybe it’s just my father that enjoys doing that, I don’t know. Anyway, my dad is a big pumpkin pie fan — me, not so much. I mean, I’ll eat a piece of pumpkin pie if there’s absolutely nothing else for dessert. And I do mean nothing. Fruit for dessert is more appealing to me than pumpkin pie.

So, my dad knows that I’m not the biggest fan of pumpkin pie, but ever since I was a child, he insists on offering me pumpkin pie about twenty times whenever I visit for dinner. It doesn’t bother the way it did when I was, say,  ten and he seems to still get a kick out of it, so I let it go.

I have no idea what this rambling really has to do with this strip, but my therapist is on vacation and I really needed to share it with someone.
